i havent wrote a meaningful blog in a while. life has been hectic- a whirlwind of people, events, thoughts, feelings, decisions...but really, nothing out of the ordinary. nothing that i felt was worth sharing because it in the end, it turns out to be an entry of on this day, i went here, on that day, i saw this person...blahblah blaaah, but we'll see what this one turns out to be...
winter break- i had a great 3 weeks off from school/work/all that ties me down. i was in hawaii for a week, home for christmas and then bishop for some climbing for a few days. man. bishop gets me. im not exactly sure what it is... but i just feel so free out there (i suppose i can say that of any trip outdoors) but it just feels incredible...just me in my many layers, after a day of climbing, lying on a crash pad in front of a fire. the flames tingle my cold toes...im staring up at the star-kissed sky, listening to pouya and tony play the guitar/harmonica/sing. i smile and laugh and the cold air brushes across my face. i watch my breath rise above me and i think...man, life is made for moments like this. the climbing, the music, the stars, the company, the contentment. my mind is so incredibly clear...i am enjoying life, nature, the freedom of it all... it makes me wonder how i manage to sanely go thru so many mundane routines in my life...
routine: so starting last week, i have taken on yet another day-to-day-teeth-grinding schedule. i've only gone thru 5 days of it, but man am i tired...waking up at 640, leaving the apt at 715, walking 10 mins to the busstop, classing it up at SMC from 8am-12pm, bus/walk home for lunch, work 1pm-5pm, add on some marathon running training and/or gym time. i get home around 7, eat dinner, manage to study/do homework for 2-3 hours and then crash. aiya...*shakes head* everyday? thank goodness this is only for 6 weeks. otherwise i would be (1) so tired all the time (2) not very happy (3) not very social (4) not very happy
vegas: went to vegas this past weekend to watch Avenue Q (playing at the Wynn). that musical was hi-larious. definitely an enjoyable evening with some of my favoritest ppl ever (i.e. swan, vinh, moi, do and co.) ate at the bellagio buffet. cornybajeebaz, food is so yum. the highlight of my night: chocolate covered strawberries...mmmm *drool* anywhos, also did some outlet shopping. i am quite pleased with my purchases (i went a wee bit crazy) but, what a steal.... 2 pants, 1 skirt, 5 shirts, a nike bag, 1 sweatshirt... all for $125. now i am poor. boo! but i will look shnazzy. yay! man...i need to practive writing entries....this just turned out to be a list again...oh vells
