so i made a last minute decision to go on a baja surf trip this past weekend. go me, it was a good choice. sometimes i wonder why i even waffle over decisions like this. everytime...it never fails- in the end, i really dont understand why i even hesitated in the first place. i get to leave this mess of a busy city/school/work, enjoy the company of amazing people, and most importantly, i return with great memories that make me smile inside and out. to be away...fresh air, cool breeze, crashing waves, sand between my toes, a warm sun, a burning fire, a star-kissed sky...its one of the best feelings i know- very little beats that. i think its those moments when i feel most alive...i used to do this all the time back when climbing trips were in the works. case in point: hueco tanks. i went back and forth on this one a million times, mostly because my parents were adamantly against it. But in the end, i went because its what i wanted...and it was one of the best adventures ever. ah, so this past weekend, altho it was lacking in the surfing department for me (cuz i kinda stink at surfing, hehe) it was still very awesome- lots of laughs, great ppl, loads of fun, definitely good times (: viva punta cabras...
