| weekend o' fun |
well it's been a while since i last blogged (there goes the every 5 hours promise..hehe) but really, not much happens in the life of me. the weekend was nice...pretty eventful :D SAT- uh...i dont member the morning much..haha, just hung out, read, then around 4:30 left for san diego with Kid for our game against SDSU sun mornin. it was a nice car ride down. got to know Kid (ok..her real name is Kristina..haha) a lil better and we talked about really random things..hah. we stopped by her house in cerritos on the way and then stopped by my house in SD for dinner before we went over to Jasmines where the rest of the team was staying before our game. Dang man, her dad's house is humungo. seriously, we all were sleeping in beds, haha and there were like 6 bathrooms...so no fighting over bathrooms..hehe :P but yah, even tho we were in bed by 12, kid and i couldnt shut up so we ended up sleeping at like 2! and then we had to wake up at like 7ish....whew. anywhos, our game went well, despite the fact that neither of our setters were there. so we had to change the lineup a bit. i got to play libero! weeeee...now that was fun (: i was having a pretty good day, so that made it all the more fun. We won in 4 (dont member the scores tho) so now we're 2-0! :D

on the way back up to LA, we stopped by Kid's house, had lunch...yuuum (: and continued our journey. Interesting thing we talked about was relationships between parents and their children. I was just talkin about how amazingly complex these relationships can be. It was funny because i was reflecting on my relationship with my parents and boy, it's come a long way! I remember a time where i hardly talked to them (in high school, ya know when you go thru the rebellious stage..haha) My sisters used to call my parents and ask how i was doing and their response would be "we're not sure, she just goes to school, has practice, comes home, studies, eats dinner-makes a lil chitchat-, then goes back upstairs to her room." yah...i wasnt the greatest daughter in hs i suppose ;\ but then the inevitable change with time occured (i think it's inevitable..for most?) kinda like takin a step back and seein the true treasures in life, the things that you might tend to undervalue but are probly the most significant elements in your life. my parents are wonderful (: and i love them very much. i've gotten a lot closer to my parents over the past few years, and also to my sisters. I guess you can say i appreciate them a lot more, just thankful to have such a loving family. We're a pretty close, tight-knit bunch :D Visiting home is always a pleasure (: it never fails to be fun. i'm glad that i can enjoy my time wit my family. I think it's one of my biggest fears for my future that i wont have as great of a relationship with my own children. Not that i doubt my parenting skills, but ya know those cases where it's totally beyond the parents' control and kids just go bad? (like eggs...) yah, i guess that's where the challenge is. kudos to my mom and dad...i think stu, swan and me turned out alrite :P
anywhos, back in LA, went over to vinh's for a suuuuperbowl pawtee...he's a funny fella. he bought a huge plasma just for the purpose of watching the superbowl..and i think he's returning it later (circuit city- no restocking fee) watta weirdo. Anywho...first half was kinda boring. ppl were playin more poker than watchin the game. second half...now we're talking man, turned into a real ballgame! yah..then the night ended with more poker (i was playing chips organizer for vinh, then later played dealer :D haha)

dang..gettin tired..i had a looooong day today. woke up at 6 (it was so dark! i thot there was some kind of mistake) had practice from 7-9am...weee..then work and then class, then came home (the same ol' thing every tues..haha) went over to vinhs, watched mucho malcolm in the middle (first season) that show is hilarious! dinna, and then a vertically challenged IM bball game. we won again! weee...45-20 or sumptin like that (scored 8 :D) that makes us 2-0...yay. ah...gettin tired *eyes droopin*
we have a vball game against USC tomorrow! :-O i hope we win! okie....i'sa gonna sleep now. tooooodles!
