random ramblings
weekends are rad- i went to yosemite this past weekend on a climbing trip. that place is so amazingly beautiful. i easily found myself at peace out there. i think getting away is good for the soul. it was my first experience with trad climbing and also my first time doing a crack climb. We got on a 5-star 5.10a crack called Reed's Pinnacle (Direct). Only did the first two pitches (so...5.9) but it was so cool!! im a fan :D tackled some boulder problems in the evening including the famous Midnight Lightning (V8/9). Wow, that problem is so hard- must get stronger! haha :P The next day, we just bouldered around and got feasted on by mosquitos. I counted my bites: right leg-40, left leg-42, right arm-25, left arm-17, neck-2 for a grand total of 126 bites :D lets just say i invested in some calamine lotion (and yes, we did have bug spray!) *sigh* but it was well worth it. yay yosemite!

looking ahead in life- so...im finally goin back to school! well, kinda. i enrolled in classes at SMC for the fall (anatomy and exercise physiology) in line with my plan of applying to grad school for kinesiology. so first, im testing the waters by seeing how inclined i am to the pre-reqs for it. this should be interesting (: its the only thing that i could think of that i would really be into. and if this flies, it'll open lots of opportunities in the health/fitness/exercise/physical therapy area. *crosses fingers* lets hope this is my calling :D

seeking an adventure- im goin to canada! :D squamish, BC to be exact. next week. and for what, you may ask? climbing of course! this is gonna be a rockin trip, im incredibly excited! :D i've slowly been working my way back (after the finger mishap) and im feeling pretty good. AND in addition to the incredible bouldering at squamish, the Petzl RocTrip is going on the 24-26th. HOW COOL IS THAT?! *falls over with excitement!* this is gonna be so good. i just know it! *dances around*

yeah...so my mom thinks im crazy about climbing and well...i can only agree with her. but its a passion. i suppose not a lot of ppl understand it, but i guess its just one of those things...you just feel it. you're just IN it.

congrats to those graduating this year! congrats everyone else for finishing off another year of school. i hope the summer treats you well :D
