wow, its been over a month since ive last updated my blog *gasp* where does the time go eh? been a busy bee, but im still alive and well! and to think, i had the world worrying for nothing (: well, lets see whats been going on in lindaland the past month...
• i pulled a flexor tendon pulley (or something of the sort) in my finger while climbing about 3 weeks ago (*crying* its been 3 weeks since i was last able to climb! *sob*) and it still hurts (both my finger and my broken heart from not being able to climb *sniffle*) my fingertips are peeling, i feel weaker, i'm itching to climb, and everytime i see anything that remotely resembles a hold/pinch/crimp, i grab it, test my finger on it only to find that it still results in pain *crying, again* but alas, i need to give it a healthy recovery time to avoid doing any more damage. *sigh* i think i might test it out next week to see how it feels. maybe start out easy, toprope a bit more than usual...we shall see. *crosses fingers*
• i started classes at SMC (we're currently in our 4th week) its "meh"...yeah, thats how id describe it. im takin an anatomy class and a kinesiology class...just to try something new, test the waters for grad school/nursing/uh...or just for kicks. its alrite so far. definitely a different vibe from UCLA (i miss UCLA classes!) my kinesiology prof is funny but hasnt taught much (he usually goes off on tangents, tells stories, blahblahblah). my anatomy class is alrite, fairly interesting, but a lotta material...and both classes are just like dumbdedumb busybusybusy work "-_-
• still have yet to go to the Kelly Clarkson concert (it's been postponed twice already) apparently the american idol star has bronchitis and a lung infection...
• my daddy turned 51 on the 5th. HAPPY HALF CENTURY+1! look at the man... hardly looks acts a day over 30 :P • my cousin David turned the big 1-6 on 9/11. HAPPY DRIVERs AGE BOURMAN! • my sister Stu celebrated her not-so-very-exciting-age 26th birthday on the 13th *blows noisemaker* WOOHOO! she's so old... getting to be around that age of...oh i dunno, making some nieces and nephews so i can play with them! :D • my cousin Brandon had his 1st birthday on the 17th. It was cute...his birthday was at a nice park/lake, Finding Nemo-themed with lots of food and laughs (see pics on jusspress)
• i met two of the most ADORABLE bebes ever :D josh's niece and nephew, Zoe and Ian. theyre so cute! i got to spend some time with them this past weekend (i was in norcal for brando's bday and a wedding with the j-man). It's funny how happy and in awe i can get when im around lil bebes (reminds me of my child care center working days). they never cease to amaze me! there's something so innocent and so pure...those moments are really good reminders of all the great simplicities in life. aw, lil bebes...they make me smile (:
• ive been trying to up my running as of late to about 4 miles at least 3 times a week in prep for the Nike Run Hit Wonder 10k this sat. yipee! i hope my feet dont fall off before the end of mile 6... O.O
• hmmm...what else what else....randomness....everyday, it never fails, i get really gasy around 3 or 3:30. i'm not really sure why, but its the smelly kind too. O.O | i was growing out my armpit hairs for a while, but after taking a poll at the gym, concluded that the majority of ppl would be grossed out, so theyre gone. | I MISS CLIMBING *crying* | i need new basketball shoes | i'm going to hawaii in december...yay!! | i love seeing ppl at the gym! the other day, i ran into like 10 ppl that ive met/known from the past 5 years...it was cool, catching up in between sets, seeing what everyone has been up to...*sigh* oh the memories...
